The Kenyan government on Friday lifted a ban on public rallies, saying security had improved after disputed December elections sparked widespread violence, the internal security ministry announced.
"The government has concluded that the security has generally improved, consequently (it) has decided to lift the restriction on public meetings effected as a result of the post-election violence," it said in a statement.
