Curfew clamped on Parachinar as toll rises to 49

Parachinar town was placed under curfew on Sunday, a day after a suicide bombing.The death toll of deadly suicide blast at election meeting in Eidgah market, Parachinar on Saturday evening rose to 49 as nine more succumbed to injuries Sunday at Agency Headquarters Hospital of Kurram Agency.
Officials fear death toll may rise after many of those injured in the attack remain in critical condition. The blast on Saturday occurred as supporters of a candidate backed by assassinated prime minister Benazir Bhutto's party were going to his office after a rally. The head of suspected suicide bomber has been found on blast site in Kurram tribal areas, an official said.
