ECP has completed arrangements: Dilshad

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has given the final touch to the arrangements for holding the elections in a free, fair and transparent manner. This was stated by Secretary ECP, Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad while talking to a private News Channel (Aaj TV).
Secretary ECP said, "500,000 staff of ECP is on its way and establishing polling stations. The staff will start the electoral process at 8 am sharp today".
Kanwar Dilshad said, all the complaints regarding elections had been dealt accordingly by the returning officers; and at the moment there was no complaint pending. A complaint cell and a control room have been established at ECP to address the complaints regarding elections and it has been ensured that no complaint is left unattended, he added.
Highlighting the electoral process, secretary ECP said after the completion of polls at 5 pm, the returning officers would compile all the results of their relevant polling stations and then communicate to ECP. The presiding officers will provide a copy of results to the contesting candidates at polling stations, he said. About unofficial results he said, there was no ban on publishing unofficial results by media, however he added that ECP has established a media center at its office, which will announce the official results.
Dilshad urged people to come out of their houses and cast their vote as per their conscious as it was their fundamental responsibility. He said, the people should cast their vote because it is the only way to decide about their future.
