Nawaz vows to build hydel power projects

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressing a press conference here on Sunday has vowed to build hydel power projects in the country. Referring to acute problem of load shedding in the country, he said while coming into power they would evolve a definite strategy for that.
Talking about option of going for construction of dams for which there was a lack of national consensus, he said in that situation other dams could be ventured upon. He said besides possibility of establishing of government of national consensus other options were available to them. Nawaz Sharif warned that in case of rigging of polls in national elections, their party would launch a vociferous movement nation-wide.
He warned bureaucracy and election staff to devoid of malpractice in national elections by supporting elements involved in planning of rigging of polls. Nawaz Sharif stated that people who had deprived people of true leadership would not be forgiven.
He said he had participated in elections by putting himself to risk and with effort done by him and his party they were hopeful of winning the national election 2008. Former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Former Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, Zaim Qadri were present on the occasion.
