Makhdoom Amin alleges rigging

Senior Vice-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party Makhdoom Amin Fahim has alleged rigging in the polling in different parts of the country.
Talking to a group of newsmen at his residence in Hala, Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim, who contested election on NA-218 Matiari-cum-Hyderabad (old Hyderabad-I) and on PS-44 Matiari, said that he received information about torturing and harassing of the PPP workers and supporters at the polling stations in different parts of the country.
The reports of rigging during the polling process as well as ousting the polling agents of the party's candidates were also received from different districts of Sindh.
Despite all negative tactics, the party's candidates, workers and supporters the faced the situation in a discipline manner for the restoration of democracy in the country, he said. Replying to a question about the party's line of action if rigging proved in the elections, the PPP Senior Vice Chairman said that it was early to say on the topic.
Makhdoom Jamil-uz-Zaman, the President of Hyderabad Division and son of Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim, while responding to a questioner alleged rigging in various polling stations of Matiari district.
Responding to another question about the statement of President Pervez Musharraf regarding withdrawal of cases against assassinated PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari, presently holding the post of Co-Chairperson of the party, said that a contradiction had already been issued in this respect.
