Central PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq Wednesday said the nation had done its job by inflicting crushing defeat on the supporters of anti-democratic forces, and now the national leadership would play its role.
Talking to people at his office turning up to felicitate him on the success of PML-N and his election as MNA, he said, "All democratic forces should join hands for peace, stability progress and prosperity of the country."
He said all segments of the society wanted independence of judiciary, reinstatement of deposed judges, supremacy of the Constitution and recovery of missing persons.
Saad Rafiq said the turncoats, all those who created wheat crisis and are responsible for spiralling price-hike and inflation have met their fate in the elections. He said PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif was a ray of hope for the country and salvation for people.
However, he clarified that his party's struggle was not for power, but to ensure real democracy through independence of judiciary, strengthening of national institutions and the Federation.
