The French Cultural center held an exhibition of young painter Samina Javed here on Friday. Eminent painter Raja Changez Sultan, former Director General of Pakistan National Council of the Arts, inaugurated the exhibition.
Painter Changez Sultan in his inaugural address said, Samina Javed had made good, her work stood out from many other young artists. She also had a bold provocative style, and in addition her drawn figures and forms were invariably intertwined with each other and gracefully presented.
Undoubtedly, she has created distortions, which gives indication of an agitated state of mind. That apart, she builds on thin layers of paint. 'It is a refreshing and uncomplicated style," said Raja Changez Sultan.
