Bogus votes can be exposed by high-tech: Nadra

Each and every bogus vote cast in the recent Pakistan Elections-2008 could be detected with the use of latest technology. Quoting the Nadra official private TV channel reported that organisation possessed the world's latest technology, which could help ascertain and provide proof of any of the voters' being real or fake through the scanning of voters' thumb impression or National Identity Card.
According to Nadra if such exercises were conducted and thereby all facts publicised through the media, then the scourge of bogus voting would almost die down. Nadra is already using such technology in Pakistan passport, immigration, banks offices, driving license branches and other organisations. This technology will also be used while providing mobile phone connection or mobile set sale in the days to come, the official claimed.
