23 Feb, 2008

Three men were killed in a shooting here Friday, police said, with the party of slain Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto saying the victims were party supporters. "Three men were killed and two others were injured when some unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on them this night," Athar Rasheed Butt, a senior police official, said.
He said the victims were standing on a street when the attackers targeted them. The police did not have information about their political affiliation. "We don't know (if) they belonged to any political party, but we are investigating further," Butt said.
A PPP spokesman in southern Sindh province, of which Karachi is the capital, said the dead and injured belonged to them.
