The British High Commissioner, Robert Brinkley, and French Ambassador in Pakistan, Regisde Belenet, separately met Nawaz Sharif here at the Frontier House on Friday. Party sources said that the envoys exchanged views with him on the new political scenario following the February 18 elections.
The envoys greeted Nawaz over the party's victory in the elections. According to sources, Nawaz briefed the envoys about the party's agenda, including restoration of pre-emergency status of judiciary, supremacy of parliament and strengthening of democracy.
Nisar Ali Khan was also present in the meeting. The parliamentary party of PML-N met on Friday and nominated Nawaz Sharif as its parliamentary leader. He is expected to seek a seat in the National Assembly through by-election.
