The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) has extended the date for submission of application for registration as training organisation to June 30, 2008. All the CA firms, which are presently conducting training of students, have been asked to submit their applications by the extended date.
The Council has also decided that from July 1 this year, the CA firms that are presently conducting training of students would not be eligible to take fresh trainee students if they do not apply for registration. Training Organisation and Training Registration No 4.3 (f) would be applicable on all such firms, it was further pointed out. The application forms can be downloaded from www.icap.org.pk, it was informed.
