Sewerage lines replacement demanded

Industrialists of Federal 'B' Area have urged the City Nazim, Mustafa Kamal, to revamp the sewerage line in their area on priority basis. Taking to Business Recorder, Munawar Sultan, an industrialist of the area, said that the present sewerage line is only of 8-inch diameter and was laid in 1955 and has now become outdated and unserviceable.
He said that the sewerage system of the area is extremely inadequate and it has got choked almost completely. He said that the sewerage lines were overflowing and damaging the roads. They are also creating problems of movement in the area. He suggested that there is a need to replace the existing sewerage lines with 18-inch dia pipes.
