NA speaker accused of attacking MNA's secretary

The leader of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and MNA-elect from Sialkot, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has accused the speaker of National Assembly, Chaudhry Ameer Hussain of attacking her personal secretary, Zahoor Ellahi physically, only few yards away from the PPP office in Sialkot.
Talking to newsmen she said on Saturday that her life is also in danger because of the attack. Awan also accused the NA speaker of allegedly using the state machinery in the election campaign saying that up till now 35 of her party workers were critically injured in clashes with Hussain's supporters following the election disputes.
'We believe in the politics of peace and former regime should accept people's mandate gracefully', she said. The MNA-elect appreciated the people of her constituency who despite all the difficulties voted her to power and rejected the antics of democracy.
