Pakistan Democratic Party (PDP) President Nawabzada Mansoor Khan said on Saturday that he had wholeheartedly accepted people's mandate in favour of the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N.
Talking to newsmen, he said the general elections had been conducted in a fair and free manner, and observed that any large-scale rigging could have triggered a civil war in the country. He said voters had cast their ballot in favour of democracy and democratic forces, and had rejected one-man rule, which was against the democratic norms.
Mansoor Khan called upon the winning political parties to honour the mandate given to them by the nation and fulfil their promises made during electioneering.
