Nawaz and Shahbaz to take part in by-elections: Hashmi

Senior Vice President of PML-N, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that restoration of the judiciary and freedom of the media are among his party's top priorities. Talking to the media, Hashmi said, "we are not hungry for the minister-ship."
"Now the government will not be formed according to the dictation of the UK or USA, rather, those, whom the people have elected would make the government," he added.
He said that 15 members of Q-League besides some independent members would soon join PML-N. The coming couple of days are very important, Hashmi said adding "very soon we will see deposed chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and other judges in their chambers."
He said, "we have a lot of pressure on us but we will not move an inch back from our issue." Aitzaaz Ahsan is a "Man of Principle" and he has nourished the lawyer's struggle, he added.
To another a question, Hashmi said that democracy is successful in those countries where the judiciary is free. "Musharraf will have to leave at any cost. We will give him a safe way," he said.
He said that in Punjab it is PML-N's right to make the government and that the chief minister would be from it. "Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif will take part in the by-elections but it is not yet decided that from which constituency they will take part," Hashmi said. To another question, Hashmi said that he is not becoming the speaker of national assembly.
