National Chemistry moot begins

Punjab University will hold a three-day National Chemistry Conference on 'Chemistry for the Development of Health, Industry and Environment' for the solutions of industrial, agricultural and environmental issues of Pakistan from February 25-27.
Over 250 scientists, chemists and researchers will attend the conference in which about 400 research papers will be read. The moot is being organised by the Chemical Society of Pakistan and PU in connection with the 125-year celebrations of the establishment of Punjab University.
The inaugural ceremony will be held in the auditorium of Punjab University's Dr Perveiz Hassan Environmental Law Center on Monday, at 09:00 am. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran will preside over the inaugural ceremony while Governor Punjab Lieutenant General (Retd) Khalid Maqbool will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Professor Dr Jamil Anwar Chaudhry said that research papers will be presented on various issues of environmental chemistry, industrial chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, food and medicine, which will be helpful in solving industrial, agricultural and environmental problems.
