The railway traffic between Pakpattan, Qasoor and Lahore was suspended when the engine of Farid Express going to Lahore from Karachi derailed near Paka Sudhar railway station due to breaking of axial on the night between Saturday and Sunday. The railway traffic remained suspended from 8:30pm to 12:30am, causing problems for passengers.
However, the traffic was restored at 12:30am and the faulty engine was removed to Pakpattan.
