People want next chief minister from Larkana

25 Feb, 2008

The social and political circles of district Larkana have suggested that the next Sindh Chief Minister and the leader of house in provincial assembly should be from Larkana.
A former PPP MNA, requesting anonymity, said that people in Larkana district had suffered a lot during the tenure of previous government, and the district was divided into two parts without seeking consent of its people only to grab political benefits.
Therefore, he said, Pakistan Peoples Party leadership should nominate leader of the house in Sindh Assembly from this district. The representative of different social welfare organisations suggested that the PPP should invite MQM for a coalition government in Sindh.
Separately, some nationalists suggested that those formed a coalition government in province in past should be kept off the rule in province and center. They said the former rulers did nothing for raising life standard of common men, particularly those living in rural areas.
