Senate session adjourned to condole members' death

The Senate session was adjourned without any business to condole the death of serving Senator Sarwar Khan Kakar and three other ex-senators as part of the parliamentary traditions.
As the session of upper house started, leader of the House, Waseem Sajjad moved condolence resolution on the death of ruling senator Sarwar Khan Kakar and ex-senators Subaidar Mandokhel, Nabi Bakhsh Domki and Abdul Malik Baloch. He paid rich tribute to the deceased members of the upper house saying that they served the Senate with dedication and devotion. Waseem Sajjad said that senator Kakar was an affectionate politician and was a father figure.
Paying tribute to late Sarwar Khan Kakar leader of the House said that his efforts as a seasoned politician would be remembered by the coming generations. Waseem Sajjad expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the country and condoled the martyrs of Rawalpindi Mall Road bomb blast in which eight persons were killed.
Leader for the Opposition in Senate Raza Rabbani also condoled the death of the ex-senators on behalf of the joint opposition and serving Senator Sarwar Khan Kakar, saying "sitting on two different sides of the house in extreme political polarisation he was kind enough to come to my office to give views on disputed issues. Moreover Senator Mandokheil efforts will be remembered by the upcoming governments. Rabbani said that taking this opportunity he will also condole the death of other Pakistanis and shared the grief of the aggrieved families in the suicide bombing of November 27 when Banazir was martyred.
PML-Q parliamentary party meeting was held earlier in the committee room in the parliament, which reposed confidence on the party leadership and reassured that without the leadership of the Chaudhray Shajaat Hussain PML-Q is incomplete. Furthermore, it was clarified in the meeting that the party has no plan to change the current leadership.
PML-Q formed two committees 'Legal Aid Committee' which will be headed by Leader of the House Waseem Sajjad and 'Political Affairs Committee' that will be headed by Mushahid Hussain. 'Legal Aid Committee' will consider the complaints of the defeated candidates of PML-Q and these complaint will be referred to the Election Commission and 'Political Affairs Committee' will work as think tank of the PML-Q. the party also decide to call party's Central Working Committee meeting on March 1 to finalise its political agenda.
