Sikh Yatrees to get maximum facilities

The government is taking measures to provide lodging, boarding and transport facilities to Sikh Yatrees, who visit their holy places in Pakistan, sources told to Business Recorder here on Monday.
They said a bus terminal of international standard would be set up at Nankana Sahib as the Punjab government has already moved a case for acquisition of land from Pakistan Railways.
Sources said Punjab Tourism and Resort Development Department Secretary Taimur Azmat Osman will take up the matter with the Nankana Sahib DCO for expediting the land acquisition for the proposed bus terminal.
It is also under consideration that the Evacuee Trust Property Board is taking measures to improve living conditions at Gurdwara Nanakana Sahib and Gurdwara Sucha Soda, so that Sikh Yatrees could stay comfortably, they added.
Sources said proper tourist resorts would also be established at Nankana Sahib and Sucha Soda. Taimur Azmat Osman would initiate establishing the tourist resorts very soon. They said commencement of bus service between Amritsar and Hasanabdal via Katas Raj is also under consideration.
