Police capture CCC data to probe Rawalpindi suicide attack

The investigation team of Rawalpindi Police took possession of the data of the close circuit camera installed at the Nadra Swift Center to trace the suicide bomber of the Monday suicide attack. The police have filed an FIR in R.A. Bazar Police Station against unknown culprits of the suicide bomb explosion.
A special investigation team, headed by SSP (Operations) Yaseen Farooq, has been constituted to probe the matter, which comprises officials of special investigation cell of the FIA and other intelligence agencies. The investigation team also questioned the eyewitnesses, who were present on the spot when a suicide bomber in the guise of a beggar detonated the device and hit the staff car of General Mushtaq.
Sources said that another team of the Pakistan Army is separately investigating the matter. They said that the investigation team has visited the Central Jail Adiala to interrogate the people arrested by Special Investigation Team in Benazir Bhutto assassination case.
The team has questioned the detainees about the possible links with Monday suicide bombing. They said that investigators are considering the possible links of the Monday suicide bombing with military operation in tribal areas. But local Taliban have already held a truce and complete cease-fire is being observed on their part.
