Gram prices sharply higher on grain market

Grams prices were sharply higher on the grain market on Thursday as wheat rates continued to surge in process of trading, dealers said. On the gram side, gram garda Punjab was up by Rs 175 to Rs 3175-3325, gram garda Punjab dal low type was sharply higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3800 and good type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3900.
Beetle Chana No 1 went up by Rs 200 to Rs 3400-3550, beetle 50x50 gained Rs 175 to Rs 3275-3375 and dal beetle inferior type gained Rs 100 to Rs 3900 and best type was up by Rs 50 to Rs 4000, they said. On the cereal side, wheat old and new both types soared by Rs 100 to Rs 1600-1615, sugar low type, however, slipped by Rs 50 to Rs 2050 and good type was down by Rs 30 to Rs 2320, dealers said.
