Central leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPP-P), Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday said that there is dire need for enhanced unity among democratic forces as the country was passing through a very critical stage.
Talking to a private television channel the PPPP leader said that it was under this consideration that his party has extended an unconditional offer to its coalition partners for the formation of mutually-shared governments at each level.
He said the past record of the political parties is not so encouraging because all of them remained engaged in blame game and leg-pulling practice. Now the nation has given them a mandate to work together by burying the past and the leadership is expected to respect the peoples' aspirations.
He said the PPPP will keep on its efforts to bring all the democratic forces on board to find the solution of all the important issues to give relief to people.
He said the political leadership should adopt a flexible approach so that the country could be put on path to progress, democracy and rule of law. To a question he said the PPPP is a symbol of federation and it is not necessary that its PM candidate should be from a particular province. The outlook of party is federal and not the provincial, he added.
