Sports Gala at Punjab University IBA: sports keep human body active: Dr Jamil

Sports are assets for human beings, making them disciplined and help to overcome various problems of life, said Punjab University Sports Committee President Professor Dr Jamil Anwar in his speech in a prize distribution ceremony of the two-day Sports Gala 2008 at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA).
IBA Director Professor Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik and Dr Naseer Ajmal were also present. Eight classes of the institute competed in the Gala with various names. Events of badminton, table tennis, cricket, football, tug of war, arm wrestling, race, sack race, three league races were held. In all of these competitions, the defended champion of last year BBA 2005 afternoon class got first position by securing 200 points collectively. MBA 2006 got second position securing 175 points and MBA 2007 stood third by securing 120 points.
Professor Dr Jamil Anwar presented winning trophy to BBA 2005 and distributed prizes among the individual positions holders. 16 stalls were installed on sports gala in which favourite stall award was given to MBA 2006. One lottery was also drawn on this occasion in which Nauman a student of MBA 2007 won mobile phone. Later Professor Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik presented shield to the chief guest.
