Faisal Saeed, Senior Meteorologist, R&D Division, Islamabad has been awarded "Saarc Young Scientist Award in Meteorology-2006" by Saarc Meteorological Research Centre, Dhaka, Bangladesh. In order to commemorate this prestigious occasion an Award Ceremony was held at Conference Hall of Pakistan Meteorological Department on Saturday.
Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman Chaudhry, Director General Pakistan Meteorological Services, was the chief guest of the ceremony. Addressing the occasion he praised the achievements of Faisal Saeed and termed him as a role model for the other scientists of Pakistan Meteorological Department. Faisal Saeed was conferred with a medal and the achievement certificates by Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman Chaudhry.
