AGP inaugurates computerised accounting system

Accountant General Sindh Zulfiqar Ali Kadri on Saturday inaugurated new computerised accounting system in Matiari and Tando Muhammad Khan districts. The system has been introduced by the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) under the Project to Improve Financial Reporting and Auditing (PIFRA).
Kadri addressing the gatherings on the occasion appreciated the efforts put in by the teams of the District Accounts Offices and applauded the co-operation of the district governments of Matiari and Tando Muhammad Khan in achieving this objective.
He said that facilitating the ordinary government employees is his first priority. The AG Sindh office and its sub-offices in all the districts are now changing its role in the overall financial setup of the country, he added He added that this system would enormously help the government employees regarding their financial claims. Kadri stated that his dream is to pay Pension and UP Fund at the very day of the retirement of Government employee and this new system will make this dream come true.
Further, he said that this system would not only change the environment of the District Accounts Offices hut it will also put a positive impact on the overall district administration of these districts. He hoped that other departments would take same initiative.
He added that Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Larkana, Ghotki and Thatta were already been computerised, he announced that three more districts namely Tando Allah Yar, Sanghar and Mithi would be computerised soon.
Kadri concluded that it is now the responsibility of the district governments to keep the system panning and cooperate with the District Accounts Offices in all respects. At the end he thanked the PIFRA authorities in co-operating with his team.-PR
