During his one-year stint at the board he devised a medium and long-term communication strategy for 24,000 FBR employees. The policy formulated by the consultant was highly appreciated by the board-in-council.
The consultant assisted FBR Member Facilitation and Taxpayer Education Wing in devising an effective media campaign, which increased the number of income tax returns filers. The brand guidelines and corporate policy was also chalked out by the expert.
A detailed action plan with the timelines has also been submitted to the board for implementation till the end of Tax Administration Reform Program by 2009. However, the policy is not being implemented by the FBR despite appreciation of the World Bank (WB).
