Two killed in firing on mini-bus

Two persons were killed and two injured when unruly people of a funeral procession opened fire on a mini-bus in Pirabad area of Qasba Colony here Sunday. According to reports one Aamir Shahzad had got injured on Saturday while resisting snatching of his mobile by an unidentified accused in front of Badayuni College in Qasba area at about 11-30 pm.
Aamir Shahzad was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds and was laid to rest in Paracha Graveyard after Zuhr prayers Sunday. Some of the participants of funeral procession got enraged while returning after burial of Aamir and opened fire on a mini-bus of W-19 route near Ali Imam Bargah in Qasba No 2-1/2.
As a result two boys were killed. One of them was identified as Syed Zamin, son of Gul Samad Khan and his body was handed over to his family. The other deceased, however, remained unidentified and his body was placed at Edhi cold storage. The two injured were identified as Shakil and Yunus. Police said that situation is under control.
