Killing of navy personnel slammed

Lahore Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has on Tuesday sternly condemned the suicide bombing at the Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore, and termed the death of five personnel of Pakistan Navy as great national loss. He also said that suicide bombing accidents could neither demoralise the defence force nor make them weak.
By targeting men of armed forces, these bombers have proven that they are enemies of the country, he said. "The people of Pakistan are united against terrorism and their evil-designs for the country," he added.
Mian Amer observed that Islam is a religion of peace, but the murderers of innocent people have nothing to do with Islam and are acting against the state. He said that Lahore was a city of peaceful people and they would not allow the anti-state elements to disturb peace in the city. He disclosed that security has been tightened at sensitive areas of Lahore.
"The government has issued orders of scanning parked cars outside government offices, commercial areas and other places," he added. He appealed to the people of Lahore to be vigilant and report to the police on 15 if they see specious looking people in the city.
