Automated flight inquiry SMS/Fone services inaugurated

North Regional Director Group of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Captain Khalid Farid Lodhi has opened an automated flight inquiry SMS/Fone services at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The opening took place on Wednesday where the Airport Manager, Ashafq Hussain and sectional heads of the airport, Pakistan Telemedia Chief Executive Sajid Mumtaz and his team also took part.
The new public information service is in line with the new vision of the CAA and policy of public convenience and advance towards modernisation of airport information services in collaboration with Telemedia, a CAA spokesman said.
With the introduction of this service, passengers and public will be able to receive instant online flight information from any cellular service and this will also minimise the pressure on 114 Flight Inquiry number, he added. Under the new service the following options/combinations are available: Type "CAA space flight number" (eg CAA pk301).
To find the flight of airline from one airport to another type "CAA space airline space from airport space to airport"; (eg CAA Etihad Lahore Abu Dhabi); To find flights leaving an airport on a day type "CAA space origin space destination space date" (eg CAA Lahore Karachi 5 June). If only name of airline and time of arrival and departure is known just type "CAA space time" (eg CAA PIA 07:30) and send these SMS to 7707.
