ICCI urges installation of surveillance cameras

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) here on Wednesday stressed the need for installation of surveillance cameras at main markets of the capital city to monitor movement of suspicious persons.
Talking to Senior Superintendent of Police (Security), Taimur Ali Khan, ICCI President Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi said that sound security system could play an important role for the economic development of the country.
He asked the superintendent for increasing police force in the industrial area, adding that police force should also be deployed at important entry and exit points to protect the industries.
He said that business community wanted peace for the growth of business, and added that although security in Islamabad was comparatively better, but more measures were required to be taken in industrial areas and important shopping centres.
Taimur Ali Khan informed the ICCI president that police had taken measures to ensure foolproof security in the city, adding that police squads kept on monitoring all important places to ensure security for all.
