The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested a senior clerk after being found guilty of bribery to issue a chemical examination report of a rape case.
Muhammad Shehzad Kaleem, posted at the office of the chief chemical examiner, went to jail after Muhammad Ramzan, of Mandi Faizabad, Nankana Sahib, complained to the ACE director that the police had sent samples collected in connection with a rape case of his daughter to the chief chemical examiner but Muhammad Kaleem Shehzad posing himself as doctor demanded Rs 100,000.
He has also claimed that the opponent party is ready to give Rs 200,000 as bribe to get the report in its favour. A raiding party headed by Assistant Director ACE was constituted that arrested the accused red-handed while taking bribe. It has been revealed during investigation that accused Kaleem Shehzad posed himself as doctor while he is posted at the office of Chief Chemical Examiner as Senior Clerk.
Captain Zafar Iqbal (Retd), Director ACE told that accused Kaleem Shehzad was an active member of an organised gang of black mailers and was proceeding for UK in coming days.
He does not seem to be a senior clerk from his dressing and living style therefore permission has been sought from the authorities to verify and check his bank accounts and assets. Scope of investigation is being widened to arrest the other members of his gang, told Director ACE.
