The Parliament Cafeteria on the first floor was witness on Thursday to real hectic activity as new members floated in, made rounds of six different desks, some assembly officials making MNAs-elect pose for preparation of Polaroid cards, delivered to them on the spot.
More officials, seated at different desks were recording addresses and phone numbers. Some officials briefed members on details of honorarium, daily allowances and travelling vouchers. Some officials at a desk were supplying copies of the Rules, and Constitution delivered in a beautiful green leather portfolio bag, embossed on the top with the National Assembly insignia.
