Certain residents in block-14 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi have illegally fixed 'long iron stop barriers' on several streets in the surroundings of their bungalows and blocked thoroughfare of general public on each Government's street, illegally proclaimed as 'Private Property - No Thoroughfare'.
Other residents of Gulistan-e-Jouhar, their visiting relatives/friends and their vehicles are being denied usage of those streets on their way to homes by particular owners of the bungalows situated there. As a result, citizens are being forced to take a long curved way on exit/entry of their homes.
It is to be noted that the Post Office-75290 is situated in one of those streets in block-14 amid surroundings of these bungalows. Citizens intending their postal needs are also being denied approach to this particular post office via those streets from all directions and forced to go to other far located post offices.
In routine practice, people intending to visit post office or their relatives within this area, are forced to take long extra drive of their vehicles to reach them after experiencing lot of inconvenience due to the said illegal restrictions and barriers fixed by certain residents of the area.
