Body set up to assess suicide blasts damage

The Punjab caretaker chief minister Ejaz Nisar on Saturday set up a committee to assess the damage caused by two suicide bomb attacks in Lahore and submit report in the next two to three days. He said that he had sought a structural stability report from the departments concerned for greater safety of school buildings.
He also praised the efforts of provincial Minister for Education Mira Phailbus for rehabilitating these institutions. He told reporters after he reviewed the damage to Catholic institutions near the FIA building on Saturday, accompanied by Ms Phailbus, Archbishop of Lahore and Pakistan Catholic Bishop Conference President Lawernce John Saldanha, the school administration and senior officials.
He also visited St Anthony's High School and Sacred Heart High School, the office of Archbishop of Lahore and Cathedral Church. He said his government had made progress in the investigation into the suicide attacks on the Naval War College. He said that another investigation into the FIA building case was being conducted. He then met Archbishop Saldanha to discuss the damage occurred to the Catholic institutions after the suicide attacks.
