Two students among six killed in different mishaps

Six persons including two students were killed and more than thirty injured in various road accidents, here Saturday. In first accident, three persons were killed, when a rashly driven truck hit a motorcycle rickshaw near River Chenab Bridge in Chiniot. According to police, two passengers were killed on the spot, while driver expired on way to hospital.
In another accident, a student of sixth class Muhammad Waqas was crushed to death by a over speeding car in front of Crescent High School. In third accident, Abdul Rehman a primary class student was crushed to death by a hit and run car near Chak 61-JB, while his mother narrowly escaped. Police registered a case and started search of the car driver.
In fourth accident, Muhammad Asif of Chechawatni was crushed to death by a tractor trolley near Jhal Khanuana, who was waiting for urban bus along side road. Meanwhile, five policemen, including Inspector were injured, one of them seriously, when their jeep overturned in limit of police station Sumandri. Besides, more than two dozen passengers were injured, five of them critically when a speeding bus overturned on Toba-Faisalabad Road near Janiwala Railway Station.
The bus (JA5344) was heading towards Sadiqabad from Faisalabad when it met accident near Chak 287-JB Pilasour. As a result, over 24 commuters sustained injuries. Five of them are stated to be in critical condition. Three injured shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad.
