Mirwaiz for OIC support to end repression in occupied Kashmir

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has called for support of OIC fraternity for bringing an end to the atmosphere of uncertainty, repression and denial of fundamental freedoms in occupied Kashmir.
Addressing 57 heads of states and governments at the 11th OIC summit in Dakar, Senegal, the APHC Chairman stressed that a line has to be drawn between the struggle for self-determination and terrorism, KMS reported. He stated that the struggle for self-determination of Kashmiris is misrepresented and misinterpreted by those who have deprived them of this basic right.
He called for the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people in accordance with the United Nations Charter, Geneva Conventions and the United Nations Security Council resolutions. The APHC Chairman said that cessation of all forms of violence and the terror of the state was essential for a productive and meaningful dialogue.
He called for OIC in collaboration with other international fora to facilitate such an atmosphere. The APHC Chairman welcomed the Pakistan-India peace process and stated that this process must be inclusive, time framed and based on ground realities.
