Suicide bomber kills two policemen

A suicide bomber blew himself up at a police barracks in violence-plagued northern Swat valley on Monday, killing two policemen and injuring six others, police said. A young man pretending to be a recruit and holding a police uniform entered the barracks at Mingora city.
The main town in the region, and set off the device when he was stopped for questioning by local officers, police spokesman Ammanullah Khan said. "He detonated explosives strapped to his body. Two policemen are martyred and six are wounded in the attack," Khan told AFP. Another police officer earlier said the death occurred in a bomb attack.
The latest suicide attack came two days after a bomb blast at a restaurant in the Islamabad left a Turkish woman dead and injured 10 people including US, British, Canadian, German, Japanese and Italian nationals. Last week two suicide bombers targeted Federal Investigation Agency headquarters and an advertising firm in the eastern city of Lahore, killing 27 people least five people.
