Eid Milad to be celebrated with fervour on March 21

The Punjab Auqaf department has chalked out an elaborated programme to celebrate Eid Milad-un Nabi (SAW) with religious fervour. A spokesman of the department said here on Tuesday that all mosques, under jurisdiction of the Punjab Auqaf department across the province, would be illuminated on the eve of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
A number of functions, including mehfil-e-milad, mehfil-e-naat, seerat conferences and other religious meetings will be held in the main moques of the city, including Data Darbar Mosque, Badshahi Mosque, Wazir Khan mosque, Hazrat Shah Jamal mosque, Muslim Mosque and Hazrat Mian Mir mosque. Famous qaris, naat khwan and ulema will participate in the programmes.
Seerat un Nabi (SAW) conference will be held at Alhamra Hall Lahore to be presided over by Punjab Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd). A central rally in connection with Eid Milad will commence from Dehli Gate on March 21 and terminate at the Darbar of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh.
