Kidnapper killed in police encounter

Police have killed a kidnapper during an encounter in Shahdara limits in the wee hours of Saturday while his accomplice managed to fox, police sources said. The alleged culprits abducted a 10 years old boy Bilal, demanded Rs 2 million as ransom money.
As per details, Bilal was kidnapped from Shahdara on March 12 when he was going to tuition centre. The kidnappers demanded Rs 2 million ransom from Bilal's father however agreed on 0.5 million. They also threatened the father with dire consequences in case he informs the police. Bilal's father informed Shahdara Police and filed a case under section 365/A. As a result, the Capital City Police Officer, Additional IG Malik Muhammad Iqbal constituted a special team under the supervision of SP Investigation, City Division, Sarfraz Ahmed Falki, Incharge Investigation Shahdara recorded the mobile calls.
The incident took place when as per the set term, Bilal's father reached Bund Road as per the deal paid the ransom and took his son back. The police team intercepted and killed one of the kidnappers his accomplice managed an easy escape.
The police also recovered a pistol and bullets from the crime scene. The Capital City Police Officer, Additional IG Malik Muhammad Iqbal has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the raiding team.
