Senator Raza Rabbani on Sunday resigned as leader of the opposition in Senate to pave way for opposition parties to nominate leader of the opposition of their choice in the changed scenario.
According to Aaj TV, he said, as Pakistan Peoples Party has already nominated its Prime Minister and set to form the government with the help of its allies so it is inappropriate for him to keep the slot of the leader of the opposition in upper house.
