Chief Executive, Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) Muhammad Qasim Khan has urged consumers to conserve electricity and extend their co-operation to stop unnecessary and illegal usage of electricity.
He said that duration of the load management started by the company for conservation of energy, which could be reduced only with the help of customer's co-operation.
Chief Executive Pesco Muhammad Qasim Khan said that in order to keep continued and uninterruptible power supply, the customers should adopt following conservation proposals so that they may not face inconvenience and their load management duration can be minimised. He said that they could overcome the current energy crisis only with the help of customers.
Suggesting measures for conservation of electricity, he called for the use energy savers instead of tube lights and bulbs, giving example Chief Executive Pesco said that four energy savers consume only 9 units as compared to 4 bulb of 100 Watt, which consume 42 units. So we can save 80 percent energy by using energy savers.
Similarly, he also urged for switching off unnecessary lights and switch on the lights only in place, which is in use and avoidance of the use of air conditioners, iron and water pumps etc during the peak hours, ie from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm.
Replacement of decorative bulbs and lights with energy savers in all shops and plazas and usage of quality electrical equipment and cables/wires.
