Seven of a family burnt alive

Seven members of a family were burnt alive in their sleeps at Bar Laikot area in scenic Kalam valley when a sudden fire, apparently due to short circuiting, engulfed their house on late Sunday night, police sources said.
The dead included the head of the family, Talihmand, son of Qalandar, his wife Safeera bibi, his three daughters Kishwar 15, Haleema 12, Izzat Begum 19, two sons, Zakir Ali 8, and Hayatullah 5. The police and local people recovered seven charred bodies from the debris of the house and later buried them in their ancestral graveyard amid touching scenes.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire suddenly broke out in the six- room wooden house and within no time converted the entire house into ashes. Sources also claimed short-circuiting as the reason behind the tragic incident.
