CRDI starts cement testing

The Cement Research and Development Institute (CRDI) has started testing cement exported to Sri Lanka in line with the standards of the importing country.
A spokesman confirmed that his institute was testing the Ordinary Portland Cement under the SLS 107: 2007 - the standards formulated by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution. The institute has the test facilities of four types - Ordinary Portland Cement, Sulphate Resistant Cement, White Portland Cement and Slag Cement in line with the standards of Britain, the United States, India and Pakistan. It also conducts the calibration of equipment, such as compressive strength testing machines.
