Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 105,201 tonnes cargo including 47,027 tonnes import, 58,174 tonnes export cargo and 3,625 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 83,601 tonnes dry cargo including 40,526 tonnes general cargo; 11,290 tonnes Wheat; 12,000 tonnes Coal; 5,390 tonnes Rock Phosphate; 4,223 tonnes Fertiliser; 4,981 tonnes Cement; 5,191 tonnes Rice and 21,600 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Apl Sokghna, Soon Fu, Harmony, Floutos and Alina sailed out to sea during the report period. Eight vessels viz Jbu Oriental, Soon Fu, Lucky Man, Harmony, Daniela, Cape Arago, Marida Princess and A Dragon are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Cape Arago, Daniela, Pheaton, Gopa and Caribbean Carrier expected to sail on Thursday. Four vessels viz Addarraq-4, MT Swat, Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson and Hanjin Chittagong due to arrive on Thursday, while three ships namely Golden Ocean, Hyundai Sprinter and King Brian are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 49,673 tonnes Diesel Oil; 10,858 tonnes Palm Oil; 16,208 tonnes Wheat; 14,375 tonnes Iron Ore; 24 tonnes Cement and 44,193 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships namely MV Vanguard Viking, CV ACX Dahlia and CV Al-Manakh sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Two ships namely MT Al-Soor-II and MV Dohg Sheng Ocean are expected to sail on Thursday.
A total of seven ships namely Jia Ho, World Majesty, Kaghan, Skua, Ocean Morning, Provider and Pontonikis carrying Coke, Palm Oil, Iron Ore and Wheat respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Eight vessels viz CV ACX Dahlia, CV Al-Manakh, MV Tiran Island, MT Transport, MV Artaki, MV African Zebra, MT MT Al-Soor-II and MV Dohg Sheng Ocean are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Palm Oil, Wheat, Diesel Oil and Iron Ore respectively during last 24 hours.
MV Jai Ho due to take berth at Iron Ore & Caol Berth on Thursday. MT Al-Dabaran with Furnace Oil due to arrive on Thursday, while three more vessels viz CV New Delhi Express, CV Maersk Novazzano and MV Theoniki carrying Containers and Wheat due to arrive on Friday.
Six vessels namely CMA CGM Rose, MSC Tia, Jawaharlal Nehru, Tai Ho, Paula and Bengal Orchid with Containers, Crude Oil, Diesel Oil, Project Cargo and Chemicals respectively are due to arrive.
