Sluggish trading was seen on the grain market on Saturday as prices turned higher due to rising demand by the retailers, dealers said. On the cereal side masoor Canada was sharply up by Rs 100 to Rs 6150. Wheat old and new (bardana) followed same print, gaining Rs 30 to Rs 1530-1545, bajra low type was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 1775 while the best quality did not move any side in process of trading.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh quoted higher at Rs 2930-2950, they said. On the seed side, all the items held the overnight levels, except cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh new good type, which rose by Rs 10 to Rs 760 and the low type maintained the overnight level.
