Pesco issues revised schedule of load management

03 Apr, 2008

Load Management will be carried out for one hour duration 4 to 6 times in 24 hours on all 11 KV feeders emanating from different grid stations in the NWFP, said a Pesco release here Tuesday. It said low water level at hydel dams has caused decrease in generation, while the change in climate has increased the consumption of power thus creating wide gap between supply and demand.
In order to overcome this gape, Pesco like all other distribution companies will carry out Load Management, which will be carried out for one hour duration 4 to 6 times in 24 hours, on all 11 KV feeders emanating from different grid stations in the NWFP, in accordance to the quota given by NTDC Islamabad.
Customers can get information regarding their load management schedule and its timing from their respective Sub Division, Central Complaint Cell or concerned Grid Station on Telephone No 091-9212010, 091-9212037 or In-charge Regional Control Center Executive Engineer Munirullah on telephone No 091-2040504.
In case of non-provision of information, customers are requested to contact acting Director CM&O Pesco Farooq Bangash on Telephone No 091-9211991 & cell No 0333-9151010 for information of load management schedule.
In view of this difficulty Pesco appeals the consumers to extend their co-operation in the larger national interest and must immediately stop unnecessary and illegal use of electricity. Pesco also requests to conserve energy by means of less consumption especially during the peak hours, ie from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm. "We can overcome the current energy crisis only with the help of customers' co-operation", it added. If the customers want to minimise the load management duration they should co-operate with Pesco by conserving energy and stop unnecessary and illegal use of electricity.
Industrial & Agricultural consumers are also requested to use minimum load during 6 PM to 11 PM and customers are requested to switch off agricultural tube wells, water pumps, irons, air conditioners and decorative lights. Shops & plazas must be closed before 8 pm.
