Lahore Businessmen Association for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled (Labard) on Wednesday has donated wheel chairs, tricycles and white cans to the deserving disabled persons.
The LCCI President Mohammad Ali Mian was the chief guest while the Labard President Mohammad Pervaiz Malik, Senior Vice President Mian Nusrat-ud-Din, Ahmer Malik, Naghmana Javed, Laila Nusratuddin, Nazim UC 100 Chaudhry Shahid Hafeez and Naib Nazim Mian Yaqoob were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Labard President Mohammad Pervaiz Malik said that rehabilitation of disabled is a biggest challenge so everyone should play its role. While briefing the participants regarding the Labard services, she said that the Labard has so far provided over 1,600 employment, training to some 2000 individuals and same number of people got education facilities absolutely free of cost.
The Labard is also organising training and employment camp in different parts of the city with the sole objective of getting maximum numbers of registrations of disabled persons so that after getting the training, these disabled persons could be provided job opportunities.
The LCCI President lauded the efforts of Labard office-bearers for the rehabilitation of physically challenged persons. He said that the LCCI would extend its best co-operation for this noble cause.
