Former Indian diplomat visits FJWU

Former Indian diplomat, Sardar Gurbachan Singh Wednesday visited Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), where he was briefed about its working. Sardar Gurbachan Singh, is a member of Association of Indian Diplomats delegation currently visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Association of Former Ambassadors of Pakistan.
Sardar Gurbachan, is the great grandson of Sardar Sohan Singh, the owner of Sohan Singh Haveli, presently housing Fatima Jinnah Women University. The FJWU Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Saeeda Asadullah, along with deans and registrars received the former Indian diplomat in her office and apprised him about the working of the varsity.
She said that it is the first University of Pakistan imparting education to women to make sure their active participation in the socio-economic development. Gurbachan Singh while sharing his memories said that he is very happy to visit the place. It has been preserved in its original shape though life keeps on changing, he added.
