M Shoaib elected Asia Pacific PCR for CFA Institute

The CFA Associated of Pakistan (CFAAP) has announced that its President Mohammad Shoaib, CFA has been elected as CFA institute's President Council Representative (PCR) for the Asia Pacific region for the term 2008-2010.
As Asia Pacific PCR Shoaib will represent 15 CFA societies across 14 countries in the Asian and Australian continents including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Korea, Pakistan, Philippines and Thailand. Shoaib who is also the CEO of Al Meezan Investment Management Ltd. has been among the most active CFA Institute volunteers during the last few years.
He is the founder President of CFA Association of Pakistan (CFAAP) and has served the Association tirelessly for the last six years. Shoaib also has the honour of being named by CFA Institute as "Most Influential" CFA charter holder across the globe for year 2006. It is the first time ever that a CFA charter holder from Pakistan is going to represent and lead the whole Asia Pacific region.
During the last six years, CFA Association of Pakistan has achieved several milestones under Shoaib's leadership. The Association also has the honour of winning "Innovation Award" from CFA Institute in 2006 for its Annual Excellence Awards programme, which has now been running successfully for the last five years. Currently, CFAAP is assisting SECP in implementing Analyst Certification Programme (ACP) which is expected to be rolled out next month.--PR
